um UM apparently you'll be able to turn off flashing during storms in the minecraft java 1.18 update
please tell everyone, this is actually very important, i'm just too excited to process this.
does anyone have an increase in seizures directly after sleeping? (especially if woken up or after sleeping very little)
the epileptic mood
idk if there's a warning out there yet but the cinemasins fast and furious 9 video has rapid red/white flashing (and loud sirens) at 6:57. i'm not sure how long it lasts bc my partner turned the video off very quickly. there's no warning in the video itself or the title.

hey guys! if you haven't, block @bethanysblog. they sent me a rapidly flashing gif of lightning in my ask box for no reason other than that i'm photosensitive, screencap for proof.
(ID: an ask from bethanysblog. the image is obscured and says "Image blocked. Blurred because you don't follow this tumblr yet. Tap to reveal." A button says "view image." Underneath the image, a question reads, "Can you look at things like lightning? What happens during thunder storms")
@staff hey i'm once again asking you to care about disabled people because i actually had to hit back to get to the screen shown above. not only is this person a stranger (who assaulted me), my autoplay is disabled.
On Pinterest - and possibly other services - there is an Autism Speaks video ad that says something like, "Know the signs of autism before it's too late." Like many A$ ads, this demonstrates sensory overload, and the entire size of the ad has a very brief (2-5 seconds) period of strobe effects (very dark to very bright) caused by camera flashes aimed at the child in the video. It is both traumatic to watch as an autistic person and extremely dangerous as a photosensitive person.
Please boost this and add important notes but do not add commentary about A$ as an organization (in the tags is fine ofc!). This is a warning that is important for epileptic lives - additional details and similar warnings are important, but derailing this post can cause messages like this to lose traction.
TL;DR: Autism Speaks has at least one dangerously strobing video ad on Pinterest. It is labeled "Know the signs of autism before it's too late."

It means the world to me how much non-photosensitive epileptic people, and photosensitive people whose seizures are well-controlled, go to bat for those of us that need it. Y’all are the ones that are always sharing warnings and fighting with media companies and content creators, and I see that.
