How come it’s always the girls who’re pushed aside with the excuse of “they’re aroace”…like I never see a guy pushed aside for this reason even though there’s ample opportunity for it.
And: being aroace doesn’t mean you don’t have wants and needs and it doesn’t mean you become irrelevant as a character. “They’re aroace” isn’t a valid excuse to act like they don’t have emotions and complex relationships and social desires.
Aroace people deserve the spotlight and having their interactions with people treated as important just as much as people who aren’t aroace. The mental and social well-being of aspec people matters. When you make a character aroace just to push all of this aside, it’s a big fuck you to aspec people and particularly aspec women.
