I think something that scares me about suspecting having Partial DID is that the professionals won't spot it properly. Like yes it is a valid diagnosis within the ICD (the diagnostic manual my country uses), but so many people seem to know only of DID, or even worse still use MPD to refer to it. And PDID is so new to the area that it doesn't even appear to have an estimated prevalence rate.
I had a screening appointment to see what mental health support I could need back in April, and when I was there she definitely was trying to ask questions surrounding DID, but they didn't entirely relate to me since I lack any day to day amnesia. I primarily only experience amnesia in regards to traumatic events and "strong emotional events" such as self harm episodes. So I don't know if they're even thinking I could have a CDD or not.
From a perspective of ease of recognition and diagnosis, I kinda wish I could have DID simply because it could potentially be spotted easier, but at the same time I know I'm "lucky" to maybe have P-DID instead of DID as it will likely mean an easier treatment path due to less amnesia and having a (relatively) stable host and whatnot.
I do understand as well that DID can be really hard to get a diagnosis for as well, and that it can also take years, I just fear that since P-DID is newer and much less researched that professionals may not be looking out for it and it is a lot quieter than DID.
Hello everyone, gonna do a basic intro here I think for now :)
I'm the "wolf den sys", aka Jaiden. I am transmasc, but unsure exactly what flavour, he/him is preferred but I really don't care as long as you don't it/its or she/her me :D
I am an adult, and would prefer people under 16 to not interact with me too much (especially not DMs), however I won't police who likes my posts and follows me.
I am a suspected Partial DID system, unsure of headcount and whatnot right now, but I likely won't share anything too personal as I like to keep information private, so will likely refer to other alters using anon emojis.
DNI: anyone who is transphobic, racist, ableist, sexist or promotes harassment as well as endogenic systems, and their supporters.
That'll be all for now but I may add more to it later :D

hiya! just wanted to ask: will the tracking system be similar to sp?
Could you elaborate on this? What are you specifically looking for?
We will have imports available from simply plural
The layout is not going to be the same as simply plural
However we will hopefully also have many of simply plurals old features.
Asterism is cdd centered, so we are looking at features that can help people with cdds, which is obviously going to be different to a more general app such as simply plural
hiii im bored & travelling for a few days so ask me anything you want to know about asterism!!

Any other systems get alters who have accents? June is britsh and 'm southen, despite the fact that 'm source im Canadian, but we ignore that.
Being a new alter coming out of the blue is quite strange .. And sad, because I have no user boxes to use until they get made
