I don’t think this is true 100% of the time but it does seem like a good portion the time.

When you're autistic, so you literally script your whole presentation, because otherwise you will literally forget your own name.
I don't know whether any of my fellow nuerodivergent squad can relate to this, but when I was in school, I could never tell whether people genuinely wanted to be my friend or if they were saying we were friends because they felt sorry for me being the only autistic kid of the class.
at one point i had a hyperfixation on dying department stores but i dont think we’re ready for that conversation yet
good afternoon, your hyperfixations are valid and being neurodivergent is not a curse ♥️

Things that make me clueless and I’m still further trying to invest/look into.
I had a diagnosis at 19, for ASD. I believe it’s true but it doesn’t seem to work for a few other problems like..
Forgetfulness. My memory isn’t extremely bad, I actually had an accident where I ended up splitting my head open. I think that’s why I have such bad memory, though I can truly remember times/schedules for next week. I will forget things like: numbers ( unless I really just repeat it a thousand times to myself out loud or in my head, it’s completely fine. ), dates for two weeks prior.
I don’t know if this is my executive dysfunction but it sounds a lot like it where I’ll focus on something so much that I end up neglecting my self-care or I’ll do nothing, not able to get up and do specific things. It will get so bad that I even neglect eating or when or even when to use the restroom.
And what I can really cross off for ADD/ADHD are the following:
• I don’t talk fast, and I do wait for people to speak. If I see someone stopped or I don’t know when to speak.. I’ll take it as an opportunity to speak but not over someone. I also pause to ask if the person understood me or not.
• I also don’t have RSD, I’ve seen quite a few friends of mine who do and if I say anything.. mine does give me a bit of anxiety but only to a small extent.
• I hardly procrastinate. If someone told me to clean a bathroom, or to watch someone, or just do something. I will do it right away. ( if it’s school that’s a little different because it takes me a while to collect everything, making sure I have everything and having dreading anxiety to even take a damn semester quiz or assignments/quizzes. )
My friend, Erica, kind of believes I have ADD.. and I’ve been thinking about it too.
So if anyone related, understands or even thinks they may know or know how to help. You can comment here or you can direct message me. :)
woos from being high functioning.
