Growth. When I stared with this piece it was blank and then pink.i started off using string technique because @zainaswailem said that she really saw something in the first small piece I did. Zaina and @dselectived wanted a big and I was in a fix until I said f*ck it, I am going big. First I started with the tall flowers and then I wanted a colour to break the overwhelming pink ( everyone knows I am not a fan of pink, if you didn’t know already, well now you know) While I was doing the leaves, Busy the cat was fascinated by what I was doing and that made it more fun using strings. This post is a part of Four Canvas painting I did to celebrate Omayma Al Tamimi’s journey and victory over breast cancer. Growth. I named this piece growth because this painting wasn’t planned, it just grew to be something. When I spoke to @omaymatamimi she told me that her journey was about growing and rediscovering herself. And hence I thought it was appropriate to name this piece Growth in dedication to Omayma. What I loved about working on this piece was I knew the colours I was going to use and the theme but I didn’t know what I wanted to do until I started and things started taking shape and the end result was just beautiful.
