I'm super jealous you're seeing Andrew Scott in Hamlet!! I bet he's going to be AMAZING!! Have a fab time :) ♥
I think he probably will be - I saw him a couple years ago in Dublin doing a piece called Sea Wall and it was amazing (it’s just a forty-minute monologue but it’s super emotionally intense and he was so compelling to watch) (worth going all the way to Dublin for, haha). I booked this mostly because he was in it, tbh, I’ve seen so many Hamlets that I’m always like ‘OK I’m done’ but then they’ll rope in somebody else I am really interested in (I think I’ve seen Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Benedict Cumberbatch - not David Tennant tho I did see that production but while he was out with a bad back) so I end up going along again anyway. But yeah, Andrew Scott is quality. And the director for it is great as well (he was actually at uni with me tho I only peripherally knew him), he did a production last year of the Oresteia which was AMAZING like one of the best things I saw all year (and I saw HAMILTON last year so the bar is high, ahahaha). So I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt even though it’s a THREE HOUR AND FORTY FIVE MINUTE PRODUCTION (my butt will be dead after sitting through that) (I will have a dead corpse butt).
((Also it will be fun bc I’m going with my mum and sisters and my mum is OBSESSED with Andrew Scott, I got her tickets to see another show of his for Christmas a couple of years ago and she FULLY SCREAMED when she opened the envelope ahahahaha))
