I have a lot of excuses in my pocket like COVID, alcoholism, and heartbreak but ultimately we choose our own paths. I’m taking off the month of January to both be there for my family and work on my health, as I spend most of my time smoking and eating. Being riddled with mental health and addiction issues pushes me to over eating, as food is a safety net that gives me happiness without feeling hungover or anxious, but like anything, it has its own repercussions. The only reason I kept a great body last year was in fear my partner would judge or leave me, and I was constantly trying to impress him. I have no one to impress but myself now, so hopefully I can do this at a healthier pace.
