Page 8. ---- Magistrate Denison Sentenced Madeline Lamonde to Penitentiary. ---- Madeline Lamonde, who threw carbolic acid at Gustave Hiwoeken, was yesterday sentenced to Kingston Penitentiary for five years. As the sentence was pronounced she broke down completely. The man practically admitted bringing the woman from Montreal, but added that he had never had any intention of marrying her. He said that she had threatened to blind or kill him if he refused to live with her.
