Between the league, G-men, and business meetings in tandem with harassment from his grandfather over having grandchildren, Lance was tired. His fatigue wasnât simply physical, it with mental and emotional with no sign of reprieve. Sparring with Bruno and his dragons simply werenât enough to manage his stress along with Kogaâs Lemon Blam Tea. Steven was out spelunking in a cave somewhere and Wallace was busy in some region in preparation for his next Wallace Cup. Lance knew that he needed relief that last more than simply a day or a couple hours.Â
â-so when the league requested I travel to Unova early to arrange the Elite Four Cup for the next Pokemon World Tournament, I agreed. Since my clan also wanted me to investigate the lore of the Orginal Dragon from the Unova Region, it was only practical I do it.â  He told Karen with composed registration to being overworked. Even in another country he was bound by duty and obligation. He hated this yet knew this was the price he had to pay for his position in the world.
âSo will you accompany me to Unova, Karen? Iâm aware youâre a busy woman with obligations as well and that asking you to set aside a week so suddenly is rude. Though I would greatly appreciate your company if you can arrange things to help me out. If itâs not possible, I understand as a busy man myself. I believe I should be able to handle both matters solo if need be.â His tone was professional but his body language was far too stiff to be him naturally. He clearly was forcing himself to behave this way. Perhaps heâs been tense for so long he isnât aware of how he appears to others anymore?
