This year, as queer refugees, we refused to let Pride pass us by in silence. Even in hiding, even in fear, we came together in small and safe ways to raise our LGBTQIA+ flags. We protected one another, shared strength and created space for care, counseling and hope.

In a place where our identities are not accepted and our safety is never guaranteed, choosing to celebrate Pride was an act of courage and love.

We are still here. We are still standing. And we are not alone.
