there was this one part early in the game where you had to shut down some generators, and as you’re going back down the corridor, you get blocked off so of course you turn around and go back to see if there’s a way out on the other end. and then the lights go off one by one and you’re just sitting in the dark, and the silence thinking ???? and then the music comes back and the lights are flashing red and a skaarj just comes out of nowhere, it was terrifying

oh man i loved unreal! there’s so few people i know who’ve played it. i remember getting excited everytime i found a journal from another human survivor cause i hoped to have a companion to keep me company
AH I know i was hoping somebody would be alive as I was playing, but honestly im glad they kept it as like, just you as the lone survivor...added a lot of atmosphere, if that makes sense.
My absolute favorite part, though, is like.
The game had an EXCELLENT soundtrack, but despite that, when something was about to happen, everything went quiet, no music to hype it up. i love that. so scary :O
