So @thefandomlifechoseme has this post about sending the Reader to the past uses the picking of an apple to test out a timeline solution—which is very poetic and symbolic. Mine’s less graceful and more ‘for shits and giggles’ but I’m still proud of it.

It’d be soon after Layla joins up, she’s already sorta revolutionized Desmond’s process by looking through impossible timelines for a solution to Juno, Aletheia, and Basim | Loki, but she’s just now realizing that she multiplied their paperwork by infinity.

None too pleased, and in the spirit of every little kid on a roadtrip ever, she’s very much feeling the ‘are we there yettt?’ and ‘can’t we go any fasterrr?’ complaints rising in her throat.

Layla: have you tried any other sorting methods or like…just messed around with the tree?

Desmond the Reader: the multiverse is in the delicate balance between each universe and—she’s already climbing the tree.

Desmond: Layla. Layla, get down. You could doom the multiverse.

Layla “never listens to anyone” Hassan: La la la~ I can’t hear youu~!

She falls, catches herself on a branch while accidentally kicking Desmond in the face, and the branch sends them both into its timeline.
