no thatâs exactly it. and the REALLY FUCKING FRUSTRATING PART OF IT is that Sidneyâs an awkward duck who isnât full of himself in the slightest. Iâm pretty sure heâd disappear if he could.
i can't speak to his personality - to be honest, i actively avoid hearing about him because i'm SO SICK of hearing it everywhere else. you can't say something like "pavel datsyuk is an amazing stick-handler" without someone else going "BUT SIDNEY CROSBY IS THE BEST HOCKEY PLAYER IN THE WORLD EVER" yeah, we get it. he's very talented. a lot of players are very talented. but with crosby thrown in our faces every two seconds, we never hear about those other guys. it's not his fault - but for people who aren't penguins fans, it's gets really annoying really quickly. and i think it's a disservice to the other players in the league who are top talent and yet always in the category of "not as good as crosby". and who rightfully deserved better recognition - like carey price - and yet didn't get it simply because people want to keep shoving crosby down our throats
