My autocorrect just suggested that, instead of ātragic,ā I might mean ātea ficā and honestly: that does seem like the solution to tragedy.

On the one hand, I love my local classical music station and cherish getting to know the hosts and their tastes. On the other hand, if Victor doesnāt stop playing classical guitar pieces smack in the middle of my commute home, Iām going to punch a pup
Despite the fact that the last two seasons of AoS made almost no impact on me, I still find myself saying āI have taken bold actionā when the situation calls for it.
Sometimes self-care is snuggling up with a hot water bottle to watch Tom Hiddleston and Jeremy Irons in 1 Henry IV and thatās enough to be happy.
@unbreakablejemmasimmons tagged me in the following challenge a few days ago: post ten gifs from your ten favorite television shows, without comment. Thank you, Amy! Youāre a peach.
Hereās the sole comment I will allow myself: I wasnāt sure I had ten favorite tv shows? But here we are.
I forget how many people weāre meant to tag? @agl03 @eclecticmuses @jemmafitzsimmons and @hemnalini and anyone whoās been dying to!

I was tagged by @eclecticmuses ā thanks Steph!ā to post a gif, not from a fandom in my header or bio, that represents my life. Iām cheating a little, because I canāt find a gif of this:
Youāre meant to tag five friends: @agent-85 , @valiantarcher , @besidemethewholedamntime , @rathxritter , @roamingbadger
I think there is a difference between understanding and respecting an author and their skill and liking it - you can dislike something but still acknowledge its significance. (I can think of several things that are objectively good or well-done but are not my cup of tea.) But that may've been what you were saying. :) re: Endeavour - I see! And I understand; there is a certain frustration with knowing how things have to turn out in order for them to end where they began. :P *sighs*
I certainly think thatās true, but I also thinkāand this is my personal opinionāthat for every person there are certain foundational things that disagreements over throw up barriers of understanding. Not that two people who disagree about those things canāt be friends, but they speak to a fundamental difference between the two parties. To me, someone who dislikes Gaudy Night across the board (not, I mean, dislikes certain aspects of it or mysteries in general or whatever) likely disagrees with its positions on work, intellectual honesty, the balance of heart and head, the role and potential of a detective novel to explore the human condition, etc.āall things I feel strongly about. This gives us a different kind of relationship than people with whom I agree on these things. However, I want to also say that I am a very religious person and have many friends who disagree with me fundamentally in regards to my faith and it doesnāt keep us from being friends, so these barriers are not insuperable! By no means. :)
This has really pushed me to think about how to talk about how I think about this, so thank you!
I know, I know. I donāt really watch a lot of tv, truly, but maybe when Grantchester is done for the season!
