♔ ◦ ˚ ⋆ ◦ { aspen, 25+, est, she/her } ━━ i heard that this " On ne change pas une équipe qui gagne " describes FLEUR WEASLEY perfectly. they are TWENTY-FIVE and are considered a QUARTER-VEELA witch who is currently a NANNY. she is known to be very MATERNAL, COMPASSIONATE & FORMIDABLE but they can also be quite EXIGENT, INSECURE & BLUNT. when you look at them you often hear HER by ANNE-MARIE come to your mind. not to mention that you tend to think of SILK VEIL DANCING, TASTING THE SEA WHEN SHE KISSES HER HUSBAND, THE LOW WHISTLING OF A FRENCH TEA KETTLE, TINY HANDS REACHING FOR HER & MORE LOVE THAN SHE'S EVER KNOWN when they are around. i also noticed that they have ties to THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. keep your eyes out for them because you never know what’s going to happen. { zoë kravitz, she/her, cisgender woman }
* On ne change pas une équipe qui gagne = Never change a winning team ━ or if it isn't broken, don't fix it.
✏️ Fleur Weasley ( born Fleur Elisabeth Delacour ) is the oldest child of Monsieur and Apolline Delacour. She has two younger siblings ━ her brother, Valentin and her sister, Gabrielle.
✏️ Wand: 9½ inches, Rosewood & Veela hair core
✏️ She was born in Conques-en-Rouergue ━ a commune in France ━ on October 13th which makes her a Libra.
✏️ Fleur’s parents aren’t wealthy per se. The Delacours live a comfortable lifestyle, and she, alongside her siblings, never wanted for anything, but in comparison to other families, her life was quaint. She shared her bedroom with Gabrielle until she became old enough to attend Beauxbatons, and she remembers the overwhelming feeling that overcame her her first night at Hogwarts during the Triwizard Tournament. Beauxbatons was exquisite, but Hogwarts was unlike anything that she had seen before. “Eet ‘as personality!” she told Gabrielle excitedly. It was a culture shock.
✏️ First impressions are important to Fleur. The first time that she had set eyes on Bill, she literally felt her heart restart ━ or it felt like it. In her heart, she believes that it was love at first sight. He reminded her of the Vikings that her papa would read about to her when she was a little girl ━ adventurous, intelligent and courageous. Their romance was fast paced, but she fell hard, and she’s never craved another soul how she does her husband’s. As she’s part Veela, sex was tricky in the beginning due to the fact that, when aroused, that part of her surfaces ( her nails and teeth elongate, her eyes glow blue and her behaviour becomes more carnal than human [ think Bo from Lost Girl ] ). After Bill was attacked by Fenrir Greyback, Fleur began to embrace that part of herself.
✏️ Fleur doesn’t have many girlfriends. She’s never made friends easily, and as a result, upon discovering that Bill had a sister, she was ecstatic. She looks at Ginny as her true sister and loves her and treats her like she does Gabrielle.
✏️ Fleur wants children. It may be foolish, but she collects items intended for the arrival of a newborn and stows them away in an undetectable corner of an antique armoire that she moved from her childhood home in France to Shell Cottage. To curve the “baby fever”, she works as a nanny. Sometimes the children stay in her home ( say if their parents travel for work ), but usually the case is that she’s needed only for a few hours in the early mornings or late afternoons, although she has made herself readily available.
✏️ She has learned patience through being Bill’s wife. His job requires that he travels, and in these instances, Fleur stays at the Burrow ( or she apparates home to France ).
✏️ Futuristic Headcanon: Her oldest daughter, Victoire, contrary to popular belief, was named after her dear friend, Victor Krum. Fleur and Viktor remained friends after the Triwizard Tournament. After her engagement announcement, they reunited to have drinks, and a skunk drunk Fleur promised that she would name her first-born child after him ( as he is literally her oldest friend [ their friendship spans before the Triwizard Tournament ━ fight me ] ) and she kept this promise. Victoire is spelled without a ‘K’ to give Fleur another reason to harmlessly tease Uncle Vik.
