Happy Monday Bookworms! I have literally just landed in Amsterdam and I finished this fantastic book on the plane! Gifted from @titanbooks and curated by @marieoregan8101 and @paul.kane.376, Wonderland is a collection of short stories inspired by Alice and her fall down the rabbit hole! They were absolutely fantastic! There were only two stories that didn’t float my boat but the rest were great! The stories - written by many bestselling authors - reimagine and reinterpret Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland in some really imaginative ways! . What I love most about Lewis Carroll’s story is not just the story itself, but the mind blowing creativity it inspires! I collect so many editions because I love the art - and now the stories - that evolve from the original! If you’re an Alice fan, I highly recommend this collection! Happy Monday bookworms! 🥰 . I’m not gonna lie… I had really, really high hopes/ expectations for A Blade So Black by @llmckinney and it EXCEEDED all of them! I love Alice in Wonderland and this is the best retelling I’ve read! it is contemporary, kick-ass and filled to the brim with otherworldly intrigue! All my favourite elements were there with a fresh perspective and some really loveable new characters. Wonderland is darker, grittier and brilliantly imagined… Alice is juggling being the heroine of Wonderland, and a real-life teen and her struggles are SO relatable.
