I guess the familiarity of it got to me again. Plus, I missed Abigail too.

Well, my version of Abigail anyway. Not everyone think like I do. And since I have real daddy issues you can guess where I twist the canon!

An ot3!! How typical of me to see a 19 years old girl and ship her with two much older men. I’m twisted, not gonna lie. It’s happened twice in my life.

The first being Rose Tyler with the Doctor and my beloved Captain Jack Harkness. Yeah, that was back when I was a teenager.

And now that I’m older I thought I knew better.

But guess what?! It fucking happened again. It’s like I’m stuck in this pattern.

At first I only shipped Hannigram but after hundreds of rewatch, my old twisted mind decided that what if we repeated the same cycle on and on forever?

I know it’s controversial to ship them together but what can I do? I won’t do the shame thing I’ll over again. It’s tiring and kinda depressing. So please block me if it’s tasteless to you but don’t come at me for it. I’m already on therapy lol so I don’t need that type of comments.

on the other hand, i totally understand why Abigail was willing to indulge his unfounded paternal attitude and also get on a flight with him to Minnesota.

like, if Will Graham was a very physically imposing fellow then all of his behavior could be seen as threatening and coercive. but that's not what he is. he's, like, 5'9", with a model's jaw and a delicate physique.

like i know that he's old enough to be her father or whatever, i know that it's the whole point that he's old enough to be her father, but he's just...

he's a twitchy dog man who isn't getting enough sleep, his brain is on fire, and i think Abigail knew she could take him in a fight if it came down to it. Plus he's fuckable.

i just don't think Will Graham activated any of the "this man can be dangerous to me" signals until they were already in the cabin and he was yelling at her.

is this a post about how i think seventeen-year-old me would have been totally down to take a flight to minnesota alone with a man who kidnapped me out of my hospital room? maybe.

so like… picture a story where everything happens like in canon post-Mizumono, and Will is hallucinating and/or daydreaming up conversations with Abigail regularly to assuage his loneliness, or because he cannot accept her death. and that's just a thing that he's dealing with.

but over time his mind seems to have less and less control over imagining what her responses might be. it's like she isn't just a projection of his fantasies… sometimes it feels like he's having a conversation with an actual separate person. "maybe i'm finally splitting down the middle," he thinks with mild amusement, because this is s3a Will, who is reckless and determined and grim as all hell. he starts to accept that he's losing control over his fantasies of Abigail the same way that he's losing his grip on his morality. he's beginning to blur with Hannibal, he thinks.

with a very, very intense sort of concentration, she brings him a glass of water from across the room.

in the middle of the atlantic, she wakes him from his dozing when the weather takes a turn for the worse. she tells him where to sail to escape the storm. part of the rigging snaps and nearly decapitates him, but she catches it midair. he feels the whip of air where it almost hit him.
