Fingolfin is babysitting the elflings, while Anaire does some baking.

It was a rainy day in Tirion. And Anaire was baking a plum and peach pie. This meant Fingolfin was in charge of babysitting the elflings.
Fingolfin sat in the parlour, knitting a blanket for baby Argon. Said baby was sleeping peacefully in his cradle.
Fingon was not around. He was visiting his cousins at Feanor and Nerdanelâs house.
Turgon and Aredhel were bored, because of the rain. Aredhel paced up and down, going from the door to the window. Every time she saw it was still raining, she sighed loudly.
âFather, why wonât the rain stop? Itâs most unfair,â she grumbled.
âIâm not sure,â Fingolfin said. âPerhaps Manwe is watering Yavannaâs plantsâ.
âBut surely they have had plenty to drink now?â
âLetâs play a game,â Turgon suggested, as he did not like to see his little sister upset. âLetâs play the alphabet gameâ.
âAlright,â Aredhel said, cheering up at once. âIâm going first. I choose letter R! Rain! See, I win!â
âNo, that isnât how you play,â Turgon protested. Both he and Aredhel looked at Fingolfin. Fingolfin put his knitting down and smiled.
âYou have to start with the first letter of the alphabet, and work your way through,â he explained. âSo first, you must find something beginning with the letter Aâ.
âAredhel,â Turgon said, pointing at his sister. âI win!â
âNo, we need to do all the letters,â Aredhel exclaimed.
Turgon looked at Fingolfin. Fingolfin gave him an affirming nod.
âNow it is my turn, and I get B,â Aredhel said.. She crept behind Turgon and pointed at him. âHaha, bottom!â
âNO!â Turgon squealed, blushing. âThatâs rude, you canât have thatâ.
âHow is it rude?â Aredhel demanded. âWe all have oneâ.
âYes, but you mustnât choose mine!â Turgon scurried over to the settee and clambered up next to Fingolfin. Fingolfin, who had been about to resume knitting, put his half finished blanket down and hugged Turgon instead.
âAlright then, B for boring. That means you too,â Aredhel tormented her brother.
âNO!â Turgon cried, snuggling close to Fingolfin. âFather, Aredhel is being horridâ.
âAredhel, it will be B for bed, if you donât be kind to Turgon,â Fingolfin warned.
âOh, that isnât fair!â Aredhel wailed. âYou like Turgon best! You ALWAYS take his side. Nobody likes me. Iâm going to run away and live with Uncle Feanor and Aunt Nerdanel. Then youâll all be sorryâ.
Fingolfin sighed. He held his arms out. Aredhel glared at him, then seconds later, she hopped onto his lap for a cuddle too.
âIs C for cuddle better?â Fingolfin asked, as he held both elflings close.
âYes,âAredhel said, pushing her head underneath Fingolfinâs chin.
âIt is,â Turgon added, looking most serene.
âExcellent! And finally youâre agreeing on something,â Fingolfin teased. And then he laughed at his childrenâs shocked expressions!
