"You need to learn to abbreviate," sighs Bruce, as you explain the new aspect of your work that you have to present to Stark as soon as he has a free minute. "Your ideas are amazing, but do you think Stark will listen to the long words and lines?"
"No?" he nods, as you stare at the paper that you have been editing for the past half an hour.
"Exactly. He will have a minute… Maybe two. Try to shorten more," Bruce hands you the pen and returns to his own papers that (as you think) will soon turn into a tower on his desk. Or a huge carpet on the floor, as there is really no order in the way Bruce just drops another folder on top of others.
"But I have already cut out half of the speech!"
"Keep cutting. The shorter, the better, right?" you sigh, fighting the desire to throw the red pen at your mentor. It’s been half an hour since you started working on the speech, and you have already lost all of your love for talking. Ever. But Bruce really seems to enjoy the process of you sitting in the lab and hating the very idea of shortening your beautiful research paper into ten sentences for Stark to ignore.
