In s1, it didn't even occur to him that his wife might be missing sex. In s2, she seemed surprised that he was willing to try for a baby. He fell in love with Grace just by talking to her over the phone. In s3, when he finds out that he had a kid that he never knew about, he mentions that he couldn't really say no, implying that maybe he wasn't as in to it as she was. In s4, Judd genuinely doesn't realize that they were crashing a date. He also clearly doesn't get why someone would reserve their dorm room for sex when it's mentioned. Grace says that they didn't have sex until after they were married (which could also be a religion thing, but alongside everything else, fits right in with the ace headcanon).

There's probably something that I'm forgetting, but really it's about the Vibes™️ and Judd gives off ace vibes.
