funnily enough i DO have handedness figured out for damn near everyone in the millennium saga cast!!! just because of the way the cards fell for how i assigned it, i feel like ehlves have a much more even spread of who's right- vs left-handed than real life humans do (more like 60/40 instead of 90/10) with a still quite small group in there that's ambidextrous. this does mean that lots of things in their world are better designed to be used with either hand, though!! yes ive thought about that no its not relevant Whatsoever to the story

anyway, handedness as i think is notable/as gets brought up even if it's just tangentially:

Isa is left handed (hates writing in Mae as it's a left-to-right language, has overcompensated into pristine handwriting while using a pinky to stabilize the hand a la watercolor painters)

Dian is right handed... until The Event Where He Loses That Arm and is forced to learn how to use his left hand which Sucks the whole time

Dusk is left handed (his notes end up smudged allll the time) but has some trained ambidextrousness by the time arc 2 starts for Reasons People Will Have To Read The Book To Find Out About

Ember is fully ambidextrous, can shoot a bow with either hand and only prefers writing with their right because, again, the Smudge Issue. this continues their trend as a character of saying "fuck a choice, all of the above" which Delta really really likes

Lakia is left handed. Which means that when Actaea carved out her left eye she didn't just make her half blind she made her blind on the side she actually needed to see. So you can add that to her list of even-more-fucked-when-you-think-about-it-longer crimes

Not relevant nor brought up but I think is a funny fact: Xiv and Nimbus have opposite handedness (left vs right, respectively) and so whenever they're made to work together on something they are CONSTANTLY bumping into each other and knocking shit over

I LOVE making lists but have trouble remembering that I made them/where I've put them, so I've started to keep little notebooks in the places at home I usually am. So currently I have one by the couch and one in my office. I also use an app in my phone while I'm out to jot things down quickly, and then when I get back home I make sure I transfer them over. It's not a perfect system but it certainly helps!
