No, i'm not just saying that because I did that, what are you talking about? Hahaha- Actually, that is exactly what i did.

His name is Gregory, everyone calls him Rory for short. He is 51 years old (when the events of the game are taking place). He's from Haiti, and moved to the States when he was 7 years old. His powers are to create and absorb ice (not snow, just ice), however this power makes him very, very cold to the touch, and the absorption of the ice causes his body to be quite icy too (his arms and legs are always covered in a brittle layer of frost, and his insides are infused with the ice too). This makes his body unfortunately fragile, since he kind of exists in a constant state of hypothermia. He's always trying his best to keep some warmth in his body with reduced use of his powers, thick clothing, hot and high energy food and drinks and staying in warm places as often as possible. When he was still apart of the Brave Brigade, he was-

This guy! You know, the guy i was originally going to make into a sentient robot? Yeah, I gave up on the idea. He's a human in a robot suit now. His hero name is Khione, a reference to a nymph and/or goddess of snow from Greek mythology.

The robot suit he wears was made by Robbie to help him during hero work, to keep his body warm, with the inside built specifically to radiate and contain heat, so Rory could use his powers without hurting his body as much as he usually does. It wasn't perfect, since it did break down a lot from hard hits during fights (as much as any robot body would), but it was an improvement and Rory appreciated it. After Robbie died, there was no one to upkeep the robot suit and Rory didn't know how to, so he tried to fight without the suit which didn't work in his favour. He retired from the Brave Brigade in 2009.

Robert Robertson the Third and Mandy Conners — Mandy Conners is the superheroine Blonde Blazer who derives her powers from an amulet—the first and last gift her father ever gave her. Mandy throws herself into being a hero until an encounter with her father's enemies, Astral and the Blue Ring, corrupts her amulet. Before she can give up, she is visited by Mecha Man, the head of the SDN branch at Torrance. Someone recommended Mandy for the position of dispatcher while SDN uses its resources to repair the amulet. Mandy accepts the position

Z-Team and A-Team — Technically, there are more Z-Team members than A-Team members, so some characters are going to be pulling double duty. For the sake of this intro to the AU post, tho, all that matters is Flambae and Brainbook being swapped and Invisigal and Phenomaman being swapped

Blonde Blazer thwarted a plan concocted by Brainbook. In her pursuit of this, however, she blinded Brainbook in one eye. Afterwards, Brainbook was arrested and put in prison

As an alien, Phenomaman was completely lost. He decided to join forces with Astral because he thought the Blue Ring accepted him. When he found this wasn't the case, he abandoned them to join SDN in the Phoenix Program

Royd and Chase - Instead of being arrested when he was busted for theft, Royd was invited to work with the Brave Brigade as their mechanic. Because this wasn't often considered a real job, he was also instructed to watch over Mandy, Elliot's kid. They bonded until Mandy was fifteen and her father had died. She went off to be Blonde Blazer while Royd found work as a dispatcher. When he heard about the explosion, he convinced Robert to seek Mandy out

Hell yeah, let's talk about the A-Team. As I mentioned before, it's not completely one for one, just Brainbook as Flambae and Phenomaman as Invisigal. I'm not sure who's going to be cut yet, so don't ask me that

I agree that they are all very efficient. However, at the beginning of the au, they are not family. They aren't even friends. They all do their own things. If they help each other, it's with the understanding that the debt will be repaid. They do not hang out after work. They do not know each other's real names. They do not care about each other in any meaningful way

Now, to the people:

Brainbook - Crimes include advising villain organizations, framing innocent citizens, creating illegal power enhancement and power dampening drugs. The latter of which she became addicted to for a period of time because she reached an intelligence level where she became nihilistic. Losing her eye to Blonde Blazer showed her that some things do matter because she now misses seeing them with both eyes. She's grateful to Blazer for giving her a new appreciation for life while also hating her for taking half of her sight. She joined the Phoenix Program as a way to see if being a hero could give her more reasons to live

Brickhouse - She is the hired muscle for criminal organizations. They tell her what to destroy or who to pummel, and she does so immediately. She is not an assassin, though. If she's told to destroy something/one, everyone in a mile radius is aware and the police are cleaning up the scene for weeks. She joined the Phoenix Program because she doesn't see it as any different. SDN has hired her to fight criminals, which is technically what she's been doing

Equilibrium - An entity from a higher dimension imperceivable to most humans. They believe wholeheartedly in equality and balance which is why they were the master of enacting other people's revenge. They had no desire for money, only for individuals to tell them how they were wronged so that Equilibrium could deal back the damage. Therefore, they have committed myriad of crimes, but SDN accepted this as Equilibrium being the judge, jury, and executioner. The company, therefore, was able to convince Equilibrium their way of going about their sacred mission was incorrect and that they could help Equilibrium truly balance the scales

Pom Pom - At the peak of human performance, Pom Pom was arrested for petty crimes including breaking and entering, shoplifting, and inciting multiple riots. She genuinely joined the Phoenix Program for a fresh start. She acts pompous because she feels as if she's the weakest member of the A-Team

Sweetalker - Although his eyes have a minor charming effect and he has substantial charisma/emotional intelligence, he was only viewed as a bloodthirsty creature. He didn't want to be a criminal, but he needed to eat and live, so he mainly stole and did a few "scare this person for me" gigs. He joined the Phoenix Program with the hope that he could be more, but he's so traumatized by past experiences that he treats his new team as if they've already decided he's a villain
