Toothless looked up at the female He hadn’t been expecting to hear anyone out in this area… though he didn’t know exactly where he was. Hiccup was somewhat busy with his cheifly duties, and the dragon had simply gone for a short time on his own to fish. Hadn’t expected to be stung by some sort of ray.
Some sort of prong was sticking out of his paw, and every time he tried to grab it with his teeth it stung all the more. Giving the woman a pained whine, he moved his foot back from her. He only had to make it to Hiccup, right? Or… maybe she, wasn’t a trapper.
Rukia watched the dragon in a mix of clear awe and obvious compassion.
Something was stuck in the dragon's paw and it looked painful to even
watch the black beast walk.
Maybe it was wrong to approach it and she should have left instead, but
Rukia couldn't leave the creature alone and hurting like that. It didn't look
stupid, so, if she went about this carefully, it would pick up on her plan to
help it, right?
Carefully, Rukia took a few steps closer to the dragon. She held her hands
in front of her - open - so the dragon could see they were empty and she
did not hold a weapon.
