I got tagged by @banditess! (I see all those songs from Faux Vintage! <3) Oh man, this has been such an amazing winter for music. Narrowing it down to 10 is going to be hard! But Iāll give it a shot!Ā
1.Ā āTransitionā - A ProjectionĀ This one is fun to sing out loud and I am so weak against that old school gothy guitar/synth combo. No more signinā on the dancefloor!!
2.Ā āBogā - GroundislavaĀ Ā Elegant and chippy, dreamy, and a little heavy in places. Doesnāt need words to be beautiful.
3.Ā āAlightā - Cold ShowersĀ This is actually five or six years old, but itās new to me. And sexy. Leather jacket goth boyfriend.
4.Ā āChokeā - The Soft MoonĀ I cannot wait for this album to come out! I thought no one would ever make industrial like this again.
5.Ā ā5tarsā - MonomorteĀ The lyrics kick in so late in this track, but itās perfect.
6.Ā āNever Enoughā - The KVBĀ That intro is really all I need in life. These guys are perfection.
7.Ā āAll Of My Heroesā - Cecil FrenaĀ Cecil! Ugh, he offends my darker sensibilities, but thereās just something raw and like a dam breaking about this song. That last minute! Everything he makes is manic and intricate. Just a week until this album drops!
8.Ā āThe Coital Staircaseā (Vocal) - Seeming & CausticĀ Iāve been following Dr.Ā Reedās music since 2003 and have never once been let down. I am obsessed with how gravelly and aggressive he sounds here. From the memory of the body, from the memory of the blood, from the memory of the soul, here comes the flood!
9.Ā āStarsā (Early Version) - LionheartsĀ I will never get over Dr. Spinath either. Especially when heās still putting out stuff like this! Really curious about the final version.
10. āFloodā - bow churchĀ I am so in love with the new bow church album, Canon. This is my favorite pick from it. A wordless slow burn but worth it.
