While driving back from the rocket launch in Colorado, you pointed out some clouds, expressing that they were your favorite types of clouds.

All I could say in response was “you remind me of those types of clouds,” but I never did elaborate, did I?

What I couldn’t say at the moment is that the clouds you pointed at are the type of clouds you see drawn on walls of a millions households by children, whose days are filled with wonder. That those clouds, framing the setting sun, are to the earth what a warm blanket is to a snowy night. What I couldn’t say is that those clouds you pointed at are the clouds I envision when I think of home.

They drift across the sky in a manner to suggest that they were always there, basking in the sun’s warmth, happy to exist for a moment where you, I, Mayo, the Sun, the Earth all exist at a time where anxiety, frustration, excitement, distress dissipated for long enough that everything is in a moment of content.

And, in that way, the clouds remind me of you.

When we are together, I am the child filled with wonder, scribbling on the walls with wonder and delight.

You are the blanket wrapped around my person on a cold, snowy night. Your arms secure around my person, your body pressed against mine. Your breath is quiet, warm indicating that you are as content as I, willing to wait out a storm.

You, like the clouds, have been there, showing me what it was like to enjoy life as it comes. Find the small amount of good in the sea of bad. You showed me what it was like to be content in a day, an hour, a moment.

Ok ok ok just watched get back 1 with my mum and dad, and just :))))))))

This isn’t gonna be a review, its literally just gonna be a diary of my immediate thoughts - some relevant, some irrelevant.

One thing that watching get back has got me thinking about - especially in watching it with someone (my mum) who isn’t necessarily the most educated and analytic with the beatles - is kind of just how unimportant this one period of their life actually is. Like its an invaluable piece of beatle history, but its also pretty insignificant, if that makes sense?

I guess what im trying to get at is that, its got a lot of insight into the group’s relationships and mentalities, but I think some people will end up considering it the be-all-and-end-all argument in assessing the interpersonal relationships, and subsequent breakup, of the groups members. But in reality, its firstly obviously only capturing a mere fraction of the relationships in the group - but more importantly really, this isn’t a film which captures the roots of a breakup, instead its just observing the breaking up process; its a film about an already disintegrating relationship(s), not necessarily about why it collapsed in the first place.

Its not as though I think we can infer nothing about why they broke up from the film - cause like I said, based off of ep. 1 (yes im behind guys :( 🤦‍♂️) it seems like its gonna be insightful :) But when im watching it with someone like my mum, she’ll make these somewhat arbitrary observations which aren’t wrong, they’re just not taking into account the contexts which led up to, and later followed, the events depicted in the film. And I don’t blame her or anything for that (I don’t even blame the filmmakers here) its literally just How It Is.

I guess what im trying to get at here is that, Get Back is an important piece of media in detailing a specific period of time for the Beatles, but viewers should keep in mind that this is only one month of their life, and there’s so much more to the story. (Yes its a bland take but these are my very first thoughts ok lol)

I've been on Tumblr for two in a half years. My story started back in late 2019 around when school started in September. I officially got back into the Clone Wars fandom and started to roleplay and write with one person. That turned into role playing and writing long stories with many people and bonding with them in multiple fandoms, the clone Wars fandom, and our own OC work! I joined discord servers and shared my love for many fandom ships with other people and I wrote seemingly hundreds of stories in one year!! It's mind-blowing to me! I even found the most loving, patient, and understanding mentor of all time who gave me so many writing tips whilst we wrote an amazing story together!

2020 has been very negative indeed. A lot of things happened to me, mentally, emotionally, physically, and I went through so many spiritual changes. 2020 was undoubtedly the worst year I've ever had. But with all these amazing things that happened to me throughout it, I couldn't be any happier and luckier!! That's why I am so excited to start 2021 off with a bang! Next year will start so powerfully and I am excited to get it started!! I just pray that 2021 doesn't end up being 2020 2.0😂

Even through the bad, there was always some good. Lots of positivity has been spreading around the internet to the people who need a bit of leeway and happiness to end off the year good! I want to join in on the fun, so here I go!
