2013, The Highlights :)
"In 2013....."(in no specific order)
1) I was invited to compose for a brilliant and imaginative set of people called Junction Shark.
2) I Married an Amazing woman <3 ^u^
3) I took First Aid training, which might not sound noteworthy, but now I have the power to do something with certainty (a big thing for me)
4) My music has changed quite a bit in style, though sticking with the "loop" idea. The first track of 2013 was Hi Gekite Ki Na (Tragic), which recieved good feedback; "Excellent transition to a full sound. I think this is one of your best pieces."
The last track of 2013 was Catch Me If You Can. I composed that idea with the image of a 'free falling' sky battle between a girl and some steampunk style mechas (that probably fire rockets and such)
5) I started trying to get back my 'enthusiasm', my motivation with Life, rather than just sailing through saying "Oh look, I made some music", or, "I wonder what I'll do tomorrow? I'll just wait and see."
6) I developed my Japanese! I think that some Kanji are beginning to stick in my head at last!
7) I got two pieces of my music in a WhiteGiantRPG Studios game. I'm not telling which pieces until they release the game :)
Its not a big list, but this time next year it will be bigger.
Here's the first piece of music from from 2014: The Lost Traction town, a piece I composed with Anchorage in mind.....lost and wandering, nearly deserted. Anchorage is a "traction" town, from Phillip Reeve's Mortal Engines books.
If you want to keep track of the highlights of 2014, I will be making an effort to post them up here, like a blog :) It turns out reflection is a brilliant and effective motivator!
