When was the last time that you felt hunger? Was it on the field, with me?

Michael licked his lips, tasting tart apricots on his heavy tongue. 

I never stop feeling it, really. That’s why I was so scared to confess I’d ever felt it at all. ‘Cause not only did I feel it sometimes, but I felt it always. Feel things too much, and they lose how special they are. Lived life never wanting to overindulge beyond my worth. Pretty easy to do when you don’t feel like you’re worth much to begin with. 

His tongue curled and rolled against its flesh, salty and sweaty and everything he’d ever wanted.
