It’s been three long winters since New Balance and Sneaker Freaker Magazine collaborated on a sneaker, now this week the 997.5 dubbed the ‘Tassie Tiger’ has finally arrived. Featuring a full suede upper from tones of peach, rose and black with a midsole reminiscent of the ‘Tassie Devil’ with shark like teeth and speckles the Aussie bro’s across the ditch have yet to fail! The 997.5 is a modern hybrid that blends the aggressive NB998 midsole and the refined upper of the NB997.

The ‘Tassie Tiger’ releases this Thursday for $270 at 5pm in Wellington and Auckland only, any remaining pairs will go online at 6pm.

Rules of release: Come in-store on Thursday morning (Wellington and Auckland open at 10am) we will give you a ticket – these will be on a first come first serve basis. We will need your name, phone number and of course your size, if it is taken you can either go one up or one down. The wristband secures your size and means you get to go to work, home or do whatever you want and your size is allocated for you! Come back to us from 4pm (we may contact you around 3:30pm to make sure) where we will serve an awesome selection of Aussie refreshments until 5pm when we will begin to sell the sneakers. Any pairs that are left will go online at 6pm to ONLY New Zealand customers. Here’s to something fun and a little different to mark a special occasion.
