Eddie can't wait to be manhandled now he's got himself a big muscular boyfriend. But it never happens. It's so frustrating. He can't manhandle Buck. The guy is like 50 pounds heavier than him. It won't work.

So, he has to pull out the big guns. He plays the injured to get lifted over a shoulder. He fakes being tired so Buck will pick him up and takes him to bed and position him in a comfortable way. He brats as much as he can to force Buck to grab him by the arm or push him against a wall. He teases him at work until he's horny enough to forget he's a gentleman and picks him up and throws him on the bed, pins his hands above his head and reminds him how to behave.

but after a few cases like that, they both finally put two and two together. eddie starts to realize that it’s probably not normal to be so infuriated at the thought of buck finding a new partner. and buck starts to think that it’s probably not normal how eddie reacts to his new romantic prospects, or even casual flirting

it could even take just one episode. and the other storylines could be like jee getting jealous because of their second baby (i think my brain refuses to remember his name correctly, i’m sorry. is it rob nash? idk) and because he gets more attention than her (that’s a very common problem with younger siblings)

same with the other characters. maybe someone ends up in an emergency and has to call 911 after going a little off the rails from irrational jealousy. not in a dangerous way, but more like getting into an awkward situation

"You should see the other guy" - classic response, everyone knows what this means but for the purposes of my interpretation I will point out that it implies "the other guy" in this scenario looks worse/more beat up.

"I am the other guy" - Here I think this is just Buck saying that he is the one who looks worse, he is the guy who is more beat up. This makes sense in the context of the conversation to me at least.

Whether that's because of awkwardness, Eddie is pulling extra shifts for the whole Texas debacle (loss of income, house in El Paso payments, moving across country twice) - but isn't asking Buck to help and Buck doesn't want to offer or step in because they are still off kilter, Buck avoiding the house because of ghosts, whatever the reasons...it seems like Eddie is either punishing himself and not asking for help and/or the Buddie mind meld is off and Buck is unsure of the boundaries now....

Buck has a kid now and is worried about other things unrelated to dating or having one night stands.

Eddie spends a lot of time at his house with Chris to help with Theo. So this time the fight it's in Buck's new kitchen.

Somehow Eddie finds out. And he confronts Buck about sleeping with Tommy while he was in Texas. The discussion get heated. The kids are not there. They get loud about it until Buck says.

"Why do you even care so much?. I was lonely, I was drinking and he was there. That's it"

"So just because he was there you fucked him in my house?"

"Watch your language, please."

"Come on, Buck. Our kids are not home"

The our kids is in the air for a moment.

"Eddie, you were a renter"

Eddie doesn't understand what that has to do with anything.

"It doesn't matter. It was a mistake and you don't care about it"

Eddie gets closer.

"What if I care?"

Even more close.

"But you don't" The words are barely there.

And Eddie decides to show Buck how much he really cares.
