Season 8 gets more confusing the more we know:
Originally, the main emergency was supposed to be two episodes, but then Tim decided to make it a three-part emergency;
Before the season started, Tim said that Eddie would feel somewhat left out by Buck and Tommy, but as soon as the season began, he said the opposite; same for Hen and Chimney having some tension over Mara (?);
Buck and Tommy's breakup was supposed to be in episode 4, but then the emergency was extended, and they realized that the relationship would hardly have any focus before the breakup, so they filmed 8x05 so that it would hurt more when the breakup happened, so that the audience would remember and believe in the relationship before Buck asked Tommy to move in with him;
8x05 had a deleted scene of Buck and Tommy being cute together inside the truck (according to Lou);
8x06 had a deleted scene of Buck asking Bobby for advice (according to Oliver);
"Sob Stories" was supposed to air before the hiatus, but they decided to make a two-part post-hiatus, so we got an episode kinda focused on Brad;
Before the hiatus, Athena was looking for a new recruit and partner because she was starting to feel her age? and wanted to train the new generation of cops (a plot dropped after the hiatus);
Eddie wasn't going to find work as a firefighter in El Paso, but after a robbery, he would become a cop;
Episodes 8x14 and 8x15 were supposed to be 8x13 and 8x14, but because they scrapped some ideas and needed more time for Bobby's death, they produced 8x13, and that episode aired a week after they finished filming it;
Was Ravi perhaps the intended victim to die in the lab before Tim considered Bobby the better option? (This is somewhat unclear, as different sources have said different things about it);
Eddie would return from El Paso and become Athena's partner; So Buck would have a new work partner even if Bobby hadn't died.
