also known as kermode bear found in british columbia

they are a subspecies of the american black bear BUT

they have white fur due to a recessive gene (MC1R)

theyre not albino and still have dark eyes and skin

unlike polar bears which have clear fur that simply reflects the light to look white these guys are actually just white
