y'know i've compared karim's scenes in 7x05 with claudia's before, but i do think it's interesting that claudia is absent in an episode where one of the b-plots directly discusses her fate (soren, ezran, terry), probably because karim as he is right now is the looming spectre of what she can and will become if she doesn't change. his writing is on the wall (he too is offered a chance to go and live his life with his beloved, the way terry wanted to in 7x01, only to refuse it) but his end being a closed loop still leaves claudia's open, in a weird way. anyway. meta rewatch will wind up with a claudia and karim foils tag i'm sure
