From the OC ask game: 11, 23, 30! β¨β¨
I was contemplating who to answer these for, but I really want to choose Gulshan again because when I read through these questions, I already knew an answer for each of them with him in mind:
11. what do they have in common with you? how are they different? would you get along with them?
What Gulshan and I have in common is that he has experienced some similar things in his life as I did. He couldn't live up to his mother's expectations which made him spiral into having negative thoughts about himself and his life. It resulted in him feeling like he was all on his own. Eventually the relationship with Supriya got better, but it will never be 100% the same as how it was before she practically kicked him out of her house. Another thing that we have in common is the relationship we have with our partner. Temperance was always there for Gulshan even when he hit rock bottom. Instead of breaking up with him she decided to stick with him and tried to understand him so she could help him. My partner was also with me from the beginning and he's a big reason I'm even sitting here writing this (just for the record, this was years ago, and I am now in a much better place and headspace). How Gulshan is different from me is that he is prone to developing addictions and uses these addictions to deal with his problems (smoking, drinking, and overeating). It eventually led him to falling into a coma. Luckily, I'm not prone to developing addictions, don't smoke, and also never have been in a coma. Another thing that is different between us, is that Gulshan fights really hard for what he believes in and doesn't easily give up. He built his restaurant from the ground up and works 24/7 to keep it running. He's always busy and sometimes I wish I was more like him in that regard. It's not that I can't work hard, it's more that I often choose to procrastinate which doesn't get me anywhere. Since I used so much of my personal experiences in Gulshan's generation, I think he and I would get along really well. That's also why he's currently is my favorite OC because he is not only a, dare I say, very handsome pixel on my pc screen, but he also helped me so much with processing the things that I've experienced in my personal life.
23. how would you describe their voice? can they sing?
I'd say he has a slightly deeper, warm voice with the slightest hoarseness from smoking. He can sing, and he often has music on in the kitchen which he dances, and sometimes also sings along to (regarding the frist question, having music on while cooking is another thing Gulshan and I have in common. The difference is that I can't sing π). Even though Gulshan can sing, he is not extremely good at it but also not bad. Just average. He's much better at dancing though.
30. do they smell like anything notable?
The restaurant's kitchen! Food, spices, and all the fumes released during cooking. Also often a little bit of sweat after a long day, but not a bad kind of sweat smell. Further, now he's turning his life around he's going to pay more attention to how he looks AND smells, so he will also start using some more fancy colognes.
