#7616 Third Moon Bestowed (Red Velvet Cookie) (Canada) Big Beer Wednesday and I’m getting into this pastry from the lords at Third Moon. Coming in at 11.5%, this variant rocks Red Velvet cookies from Cookie Bar. It pours the thinnest/lightest of any Bestowed to date, due to a lighter grain bill and beet addition so that the beer could have a reddish hue. While the mouthfeel isn’t quite the same as the others, it strangely works as it’s not lacking in flavour. It still pours a deep brown with a bubbly head and a sweet, chocolatey nose, it’s sweet up front with a cakey vanilla vibe hitting immediately, it’s definitely lacking the body to support a ton of sweetness which is why it’s a little restrained (for the style and series, at least), it’s smooth and silky, great chocolate vibes without being overpowering, wrapping in a dry, sticky finish.
