firstly starting with the finale. great episode, great great episode. i genuinely enjoyed it, honestly a top 3 episode that season and i’d say in a mcdanno sense. BUT they lost me at the last 5 minutes? it’s very unbelievable that no one, including STEVE did not acknowledge danny’s sacrifice he made for him. having them bicker like that after an episode so chaotic for the both of them is so ooc and it made steve look very ungrateful (i hate to say as he is one of my favorite characters). also to end it off with steve basically saying “oh yeah btw youre so negative your son is gonna grow up and hate you dude” like ???? that’s not something you say to someone who gave your liver but i cant fault steve as i know it was purely the writers doing. every one enjoys the bickering yes, the carguments all that but it gets to a point genuinely. like idk to write it as steve doesnt gaf about danny is insane actually but lets move on from that.

let’s talk about the whole season actually. that whole season it just feels like they genuinely hate each other (6x24 for an example. i know danny was talking out of an anxiety but man, you couldve atleast i love you back 🤣) usually ill laugh at the carguments, danny complaining because it used to be funny but it started to come off harsh. like i’d be watching a scene and i’d have to pause it and be like “woah?? thats a little mean” i felt like we were genuinely losing mcdanno 😭 and yknow im pretty sure all these things have been talked about as this is an old show, with an old fandom but this is my first time experiencing mcdanno so this is all baffling to me.
