We changed things. We made a difference. Just the four of us. Five of us. "Hey! Just the five of you, huh?" Uh... I mean all of us!

It's not like the idea of a time crunch / "we're running out of time" is new in the show, but it is interesting how seasons 3-7 play with it in ways that don't really exist in seasons 1-2. We get a brief spade of it in early S1 with Harrow and his letter in S2 ("what can I pass onto my sons in the short time I have left?") but it's only almost halfway through season 3 that we get the explicit first "Zubeia is dying and so we are running out of time" angle.
It then continues to dominate, with the "we're running out of time" going twofold (sometimes) threefold in season 4-5 with Viren's 30 day limit, the kids trying to get to the prison first, and Karim's immense impatience ("we don't have time!"). It's kind of impressive how urgent season 6 similarly feels despite taking place presumably over at least a month unto itself and without a ticking time limit, purely because we know there's limited time before things, on a story level, inevitably have to start hitting the fan (and they do).
But thinking a lot about characters who have had to confront they have limited time (Damian, Callum) or that their time is up (Zubeia, Harrow, Viren) and how the 7 year timeskip will inevitably come to an end with "your time is up — are you ready yet?"
y'know normally i don't really like in stories when wedding clothes are white because it's an extremely recent, very western thing compared to wedding clothes all over the world / throughout history. however, given that TDP at least establishes precedent for cultural/religious ceremonies and ascension for sunfire elves being white clothes, specifically (viren's cleansing robe; karim's ceremonial robes this episode) i do have to begrudgingly enjoy the consistency
