The incredibly large mouth of the worlds largest shark...the whale Shark has evolved in order to feed on the tiniest creatures, plankton and fish eggs! Here in Isla Mujeres, Mexico the primary food is fish eggs! As i swim amoungst hundreds of whale sharks at the largest aggregation worldwide I think about all the difficulties the majestic creature is facing...all caused by my species! What will they eat once we have caught the last fish? How much plastic has it already swallowed? Will this plastic cause a very slow and painful death? Will they be able to sustain despite the relentless drive for shark fin soup? What else can I do to help them? We must end the slaughter of our planets creatures! Eco-tourism may be there only hope, because most of our species only care about money! The more you spend to see them, the more the are worth! Quite simply they are worth far more alive than dead!
