he shows up, implied to be a recurring villain, really strong. like really good, strong villain vibes, the secrecy, the level of evil he stoops to, especially just to keep his identity hidden. then they just forget about him for a season and a half. then they take him down as more of a guy of the week that pre-empts the following four part series finale. it was SUCH a letdown! think about how they could have strung him in, maybe even developed a whole arc. i almost wonder if they would've done that with a full season five. it's almost disappointing that they DID wrap it up because now i can't add it to my (mostly canon compliant) continuation/future fic lmao, but i was at least glad they took it SOMEWHERE.
