4x9 Tonnato is the key to what´s financially gonna happen in S5

I finally figured this out!

Disclaimer: I got to this conclusion following the money and ruling out the things that seemed unlikely, but that I did take into account in the process to keep an open mind. Storer foreshadowed it in 4x8 but it happened in 4x9 off camera and we will see it on camera in S5.

Hear me out:

Tonnato is an Italian dish featuring a tuna-based sauce. In this case, a 7-fishes sauce ;)

Tonno is literally Italian for tuna, but it´s also Italian urban slang for fool.

Therefore, a tuna sauce could be Storer´s metaphor (and Calo´s because this ep was a collab) for a fool-sauce. As in: every ingredient in that sauce is a tuna, which is to say that everyone involved in that situation is being a fool.

And everyone involved in this case would be:

1- Carmy: Who is talking about Tonnato with Donna while Schnur and Ebra are coming up with the business strategy that will save the restaurant, when the time runs out (which we know happens in 4x10). What a tuna! The tunast of them all!

2- Sydney: Who convinced Carmy of going to Donna´s to give her the box with pics. We all know that Sugar could have asked till the cows go home, and he wouldn´t have done it, he only did it because Syd asked. As usual.

3- Donna: Who clearly offered Carmy a plan B, I´m thinking her savings or Michael´s life insurance money, IDK, doesn´t matter, she offered her son a way out of his debt with Cicero so that´s why as soon as he got back from her place, he called Cicero to tell him he "knew how to fix it." That was what the callback he was asking Cicero to make was all about.

4- Cicero: Who didn´t pick up the phone because he was talking to Computer about the "mini franchise" of the Window on the side for sandwiches, which is gonna save The Bear, because the sandwich is the icon, not the chef. But that, according to Richie, did show up before looking for Carmy when Carmy was still at Donna´s.

5- Computer: Who convinced Cicero to participate in this new mini franchise venture.

6- Schnur: Who helped Ebra to create the opportunity of expanding the window on the side for sandwiches. It was Ebra´s idea and it´s Ebra´s doing but it wouldn´t have happened if he wouldn´t been open to the wisdom Schnur was imparting to him for 3 weeks, starting in 4x3.

7- Ebra: The Eureka guy 💡. The key to restaurant´s CPR´s sucess when it flatlined on the table.

Summing up:

The Window is gonna bring in the money via the franchise and the opportunity Ebra created.

The Bear is gonna bring in the prestige via the star with the fixed menu Carmy created, where Syd´s scallop is THE STAR OF THE MENU.

Everyone united, everyone Carmy believed in, relied on, and gave a chance to, is gonna save that place, the family business, because he set everyone up for success. As coach K said in S2.

And as this lead Storer hid in plain sight also foreshadowed.

Even though Carmy thinks of himself as a failure and that´s why he´s retiring. He´s wrong a fool and he´s gonna find out in S5.

Everyone involved in this Tonnato sauce is being a fool because they think they are in trouble, when they are not; the solution has been right there in front of them all along. They are just not seeing it systemically. But when they do, which is gonna happen in S5, they are gonna realize they are fine. Carmy didn´t drive the business to the ground, they are not outta $$$, as a matter of fact they are sitting on top of an unexploited goldmine and everyone is gonna be A-OK. Legerdemain.

Bonus track: Shapiro will not be ok because he´s a chomp. I think his investors are gonna desert him and come to the Bear, which aligns with my previous theory on HOW TO SAVE A BEAR(Including its amendment).
