3 Years of Red
Honestly I feel like Red is a miracle. The transition she made from Speak Now to Red was so amazing. Speak Now was (to me) an album of words she didn’t say, inevitably an album of regret. (I relate to Speak Now a lot) But Red, for me was so different. When Red first came out, it didn’t really make an impression on me (except for All Too Well and Sad Beautiful Tragic), but then I listened to it closely and it’s an album that really reflects love in an honest way. Of course, there were some things she regretted that she wrote about in Red, but the emotions are so different. Reflecting on this makes me feel like Taylor is developing so rapidly as a person, and she just keeps getting better. Her songs are evergreen and truthful and as every album passes, I feel closer to her, and it is a miracle that she achieved that.
