Sometimes crafting terrain feels like walking the old paths β foam, glue, paint, the slow work of hands shaping miniature worlds. And I love that.
But from time to time, I also take a different route. To plan ahead, to test proportions, or just to imagine the final result, I create digital 3D drafts.
Hereβs one of them: a Gondorian trebuchet, inspired by the Games Workshop original. This simple SketchUp draft is my first step before building the real miniature for the tabletop battlefield.
I think digital models donβt replace handcrafting β they complement it. For me, itβs like sketching before painting.
And yes β a full printable PDF layout is already prepared and available β link in my profile.
Also, stay tuned, the scratchbuilt siege engine is coming soon ;)
