DESOLATION .   at the height of the war on the syndicate, unknown members of the first order devise a plan in attempt finish both enemies with a master stroke and continue the battle against the resistance to end the cease fire. in order to do so, they planned to sway public opinion and convince the senate to condemn the resistance alongside the syndicate. later that night, members who are assumed to be part of the resistance are seen murdering a first order fighter in the streets of the city - - only caught by surveillance footage close by. the coruscant government has aimed to remain neutral in the war between the first order and resistance, but such footage has pushed them to react and investigate into the accident. while the resistance is adamant about them not being involved, the evidence is damning. who’s to say that it wasn’t a stunt though?

during a senate meeting to discuss what measures should be taken against the criminal threat, leader arsen quinn orders two separate groups of first order troopers disguised as resistance fighters to attack two locations.  the first group was responsible for infiltrating the senate tower and plant a bomb. they read a list of false demands and capture a senator that is openly in support of the first order to further drive home their authenticity. it doesn’t take long for the resistance to mount up a response and to send their own fighters to defuse the hours-long stand off within the senate building. without warning, there’s suddenly blaster bolts ricocheting off the senate building’s walls, and crossfire between the coruscanti security, the resistance, and the disguised first order.  perhaps it’s a stroke of bad luck, but a stray bolt strikes the bomb and sets off the timer.  few senators, first order troopers, and the resistance fighters escape the premises in time to argue their sides of the stand off,  but not before the bomb succeeds in bringing down the senate tower, causing a massive swath of fire and destruction in the federal district.  now, the city is burning and eyewitnesses are beginning to attribute blame to the resistance for this catastrophe.

the second group, led by none other than JACEN SYNDULLA, was to assault a first order garrison under the guise of being a resistance assassin.  there, a first order officer would be ceremoniously assassinated by jacen’s hand in plain view of the security cameras. using this to their advantage, the first order would release these tapes into the public , where eyewitness testimony and video proof was enough to sway the public opinion into believing that it was really the resistance whom had perpetrated both attacks. 

because of the severe threat that the resistance now seemingly poses for the sake of public safety, coruscanti security has been asked to apprehend any syndicate and resistance fighters that engage in suspicious activity.  in the eyes of the public, the syndicate and the resistance are in agreement.  in lieu of a first order senator having been captured before the deaths in the building, the coruscanti government has asked the arsen quinn and his forces to lend a hand to their cause.  with the odds against them, will the resistance be able to overcome this new threat ?

first order, resistance, &. others: given the false but newfound threat of the resistance, the coruscanti government has now branded them as criminals alongside the syndicate.  now more than ever, the resistance fights to keep their location and people safe.  meanwhile, the first order uses their rekindled government support and resources to locate the resistance headquarters and fighters to end them once and for all. among the chaos, there is one silver lining. the forcefield has begun to crumble - - showing minuscule gaps that aren’t large enough to escape through, but it is a start.

resistance: with false accusations and a planet-wide order for arrests, those in the resistance must be careful when leaving the headquarters. their new mission is to get a hold of the footage that sparked the manhunt, and any footage within the building to prove that the group who captured the senator and planted the bomb were not a part of their fighters. scavenging through the ruins of the highly protected building will be a difficult task, but by the remaining architecture, it seems like certain areas may have been untouched - - places that hold surveillance. many have been arrested by either the first order or the resistance. and while escape is near impossible, there have been rare attempts of breaking members out of cells that have proven successful.

first order: with support from the government, the first order has more control while patrolling the streets. arrests without reason are frequent, and numerous resistance members have already been captured and imprisoned both by the first order and the government. continuing to maintain control and keeping remaining resistance members away from the ruined senate building is of high priority - - along with finding any evidence that may work against them. above all, use government resources to track down the resistance headquarters.

                                          RESISTANCE BRIEFING

                                  ❝ You give way to an enemy this evil with                                      this much power, and you condemn the                                        galaxy to an eternity of submission …                                                 the time to fight is now. ❞

       The Resistance has established their headquarters in a corner of the Underworld for the protection of darkness and the lowly location which was expected to fly by the minds of the First Order. Their engineers continue to retrieve the individuals who have been known to fight for their cause while fleets of ships are being assembled and assigned crews. The First Order has been seen to deploy troopers among the streets of Coruscant though this is little worry as long as they do not seek the Resistance headquarters.

           ❝ You have served admirably in the past and the injustice of a revival during                   such a dark time is inequitable- though this dire situation has called for extreme                          measures. The First Order is believed to have plans to overthrow the                   Coruscant government and destroy all those who resist their regime. As of now,                          their violent actions against us or any being in general shell be disciplined                   under this government, but we cannot solely rely on this protection.                   Do not fear the light of the city- they have no power to attempt to destroy you                   with so many eyes on them. Fear the consequences of silence- for silence if                                complicity towards their regime. As of now, we will ask you to monitor the                   Federal District since we believe their quarters are among the area, and                   attempt to locate the information regarding the size of their force and the                   artillery they have on hand. ❞

                                  FEDERAL PROSECUTION

recently, there has been a lot of chatter within the depths of coruscant's criminal underworld.  though the messages are highly encrypted, the decoded fragments echo the same two words over and over again.  the syndicate.  not much is known about the syndicate other than the fact that it was formed a few centuries ago after the coruscanti government's first criminal crackdown.  some speculate that it was a union of former criminal gangs that banded together to facilitate the movement of spice and weapons.  others speculate that it was a new gang altogether that had managed to push out the former top dogs.  but that hardly matters.  whoever they are, they've eluded authorities time and time again, and have kept to the shadows –––– that was, until now. 

the syndicate is planning something big –––– a massive exchange that's rumored to be the deal of the century.  but do to this, they needed to keep the prying eyes of the government off of them.  perhaps that's why they murdered carnivus brace; knowing full well that the first order and the resistance would be at each other's throats, and that the coruscanti government would have its hands full watching the two warring factions.  but all it takes is for a small slip up to emerge from the quagmire of doubt, or in other words, an un-scrubbed holovid of the assassination by the hands of a syndicate assassin, and suddenly all eyes are turned back onto the syndicate. 

despite this newfound scrutiny, nobody knows what exactly is going down, and the informants have been very tight lipped.  the only lead that the coruscanti government has on the syndicate's whereabouts is the underworld.  the syndicate hasn't allowed the revelation of their part in the assassin to slow down their exchange.  it will happen whether the first order, the resistance, or the coruscanti government likes it or not.  now, the syndicate has openly waged war upon all three other parties.

the coruscanti government has taken all precautions to ensure that all guilty parties face prosecution for their crimes –––– whether they be part of the first order, resistance, or anything otherwise. by passing certain legislation in a matter of hours, the government allowed themselves to crack down on each sector, including the resistance occupied underworld to capture criminals who may or may not have been involved with the murder of the politician at the centennial gala. while the resistance headquarters are still concealed, officials and the syndicate have loomed closer to its discovery.

because of the severe threat that the syndicate has placed on all parties, officials have urged a stand still on the first order and resistance opposition until the syndicate is eradicated –––– or at least diminished as they pose a danger to the entire city. while the resistance previously believed that the first order was to blame for the disappearances of several individuals, it was the syndicate who is to blame as they were attempting to reclaim the underworld from the resistance given that they’ve been operating secretly in the sector which has been putting a strain on the resistance unknowingly with their lack of resources, malfunctions, and similar downfalls. 

                                         ACCESS DENIED

at the centennial gala several files were stolen and copied from the capitol. as security surveillance was disabled, none of those responsible were identified. as of now, items stolen include blueprints to the first order’s engineering plans, exact numbers of those involved in their side, and details of artillery used by the resistance along with the blueprints of their headquarters. as there have been no fingerprints nor images to review, the authorities are relying on eye-witness testimonies by those in attendance to lead their investigations. no solid discoveries have been recorded and though this investigation has only been recently opened, there is little that the police can do in the matter. however, the largest event of the night was not the exposition of coruscant’s newest innovations nor the birth of a new galaxy, but it was the death of a first order politician. carnivus brace, a key factor in several decisions from the capitol, was found dead in his office after what officials have said to be a poisoning. though there is no evidence pointing to the resistance, most - - if not all heads are turned to blame the group given such political affiliations. current investigations are in process, and the capitol building’s east wing is closed.  

first order : the first order’s acquiring of information about the resistance’s artillery and layout of their headquarters will be an invaluable asset in their cause. though they do not know the exact location of their base, the map gives a detailed look on the extent of their security. along with this, they now own files with all artillery used. this will give the first order an idea of how they should arm themselves to successfully go up against resistance soldiers. orders : leader quin, head of the first order, commands deeper studies into the blueprints to find out the resistance’s exact location. he is not particular on how this information is extracted, but it only matters that they acquire it. a revamp of their artillery will also take place to rival the resistance and ensure that their weapons are superior in battle. as of now, those of the first order will be required to attempt to learn of the resistance’s location until further instruction.

regarding senator brace, the first order had no legal right to attempt to find the perpetrator although there has since been a string of altercations with resistance members regarding the event. given the first order’s influence in coruscant paired with the death of brace, public perception of the resistance is steadily declining to a more negative view. perhaps this will make it easier for the first order to make a few individuals disappear without consequence?

resistance : the resistance has obtained the first order’s engineering blueprints as well as the exact number of soldiers and positions who support it. this will be useful for recruitment purposes since it is now learned that they are slightly less in numbers than the order. engineering plans allow the resistance to delve into weaponry and figure out methods to disarm the tools used by the opposition. orders : leader vox, head of the resistance, commands further information and instructions on the inner workings of the first order’s creations. since they do not know where the engineering room nor the location of their aircrafts are kept, their mission will be to acquire such information so that they can disarm and destroy - rendering the first order defenseless. engineers will be essential and once they figure out and teach others how to disarm both aircrafts and machinery in the engineering room of the first order. until a solution is found, finding locations of the engineering room and aircraft pad will be the mission.

                                                FIRST ORDER BRIEFING

        The First Order has established headquarters in the Federal District of Coruscant where scientists in the laboratories continue to revive distinguished fighters from the past. Arsen Quin is the leader of the First Order and is now recruiting civilians native to the planet to fight alongside those who have been born again. With troopers on the streets of the city and eyes lingering in every dark corner and ally to gather information about the threat of the Resistance, the First Order appears to be in a healthy position to destroy any and all opposers.

            ❝ To all who have been reborn for our empire, we thank you for your                    sacrifice and look forward to your service. We have occupied the                    Federal District and have moved on to our second stage of our strategic                                       movements. Stormtroopers will monitor the streets, and all those under                    our allegiance will be encouraged to find all you can about our opposition.                    As of now, our fleet of ships are being upgraded and assigned positions.                    Keep in mind that Coruscant continues to be a neutral planet for the time being                           and therefore, we must be wary of the authorities and cannot yet destroy those                           who pledge their allegiance to the Resistance on sight. For now we shall                    simply collect information and continue to build on our armory. Though the                    planet’s government may be monitoring our actions in public, we may still be                    able to at least capture the opposition to extract their knowledge by use of                    force under the protection of stealth. Keep your mind on the finding the                                         whereabouts of their headquarters: for this is your first command. ❞
