Taravali got a mouthful of toxic mushrooms this morning. I wasn’t sure how poisonous they were to dogs and she was going to run so I sent Mandana to catch her.

We have been working on recall & leave it but I’m not a professional trainer and she’s not advanced enough that I would bet her life on it. There are other ways to deal with this like getting a high value treat or toy but this required a quicker and more reliable response.

Taravali is not a gulper. She prefers to hold things in her mouth and explore them before eating so I wasn’t too concerned about her swallowing it while Mandana was chasing her. Besides that “Go Get’em” is a game Hubbins & I have played with Mandana for years. It’s a GENTLE catch & hold game. Although not the ideal situation, I wasn’t actively encouraging her to attack Taravali. I was cuing her to grab her jacket and hold her. Which she was happy to do!

Lots of Callie & Casper content.. these little buggers make me quite happy. Every afternoon starting at precisely 3:00, Casper sits in the kitchen (like so^) and stares deep into my soul until I feed him dinner. What a life.

Reluctantly made it through the season of DWTS.. to be fair, I don’t dedicate my full attention to it. This is very much a “put it on in the background when you’re doing something else” show. But honestly, what is up with Tyra’s dresses? I cannot.

We’ve been debating what kind of wall decor to get for the nursery that goes with the “outer space” kinda theme but also suits our tastes. I kinda like more cartoony planet decor, but B really likes this three panel planet thing, and it seems to be a good middle ground between our individual tastes. Think I’ll pull the trigger on it today.
