HOW MANY WEARS?

Versatility is something I look for in pieces for my wardrobe even more since I read about the #30wears campaign. Eco-fashion activist Livia Firth has critiqued “throwaway fashion,” saying women buying new outfits should always ask themselves: “Will I wear this 30 times?” Thirty is a lot, but I am trying to increase wears and ways to wear pieces to do my part. I still remember buying this top a few years ago. I was looking for a few new-to-me longer tops to wear with leggings and boots so I made a trip to the local consignment shop. Those shopping trips are sometimes hit or miss, but this particular day was quite a hit. I bought a handful of the pieces I tried on. And this cotton tunic by Fresh Produce has been worn at least twenty times by me since then - as (maybe) you can see on my little custom tag - and that doesn’t even include however many times it may have been worn by its previous owner!

Kate Middleton (and Prince William) at Royal Garden Party : Kate opted a pale pink Alexander McQueen pleated coat-dress with a matching Juliette Botterill hat, nude Loeffler Randall clutch, Gianvito Rossi pumps and Princess Diana’s pearl earrings. This is a classic Duchess of Cambridge look and well, she looked flawless!

Kate Middleton at RSS Sir David Attenborough Naming Ceremony : Kate brought back the beloved Alexander McQueen coat-dress again, this time pairing it with black Emmy London shoes, Aspery clutch and Mappin & Webb earrings. It's nice, as usual but also very predictable.

Kate Middleton at Empire Hall in Belfast : Kate looked simply beautiful in this vintage-style Missoni blue dress that she finished off with her trusty Gianvito Rossi pumps, Mulberry clutch and minimalist Kiki McDonough jewelry. Very elegant!
