#30DaysofDance sharing with the brotha, as we share with you all here is some much needed gem for any level dancer movement artist enjoy… and read the caption!! ・・・ #30DaysofDance | Day 6 Hurrikane's challenge: Rhythm The first guest challenger is no other than the brother @hurrikane_alain 🙏🏽🤎 For his challenge he encourages us to dive into the beautiful simplicity of rhythmical dance. As every song has rhythm, being in tune with the natural metronome that is our firdt head nod to the music. Is a gateway to always and forever be able to groove to any song full heartedly no matter if we know it or not. The challenge is to play within the 8 count with our groove. By using full (1-2), half (1&2) and quarter (1e&a2) counts or by leaving counts out (2-4-6-8) or (1&2.4-5-6.&8) we open our grooves up to unlimited nuances within the music. ( these are called quater, 8 & 16th notes in music theory) As Hurrikane said so nicely: ' If it seems like I hit a beat it is because it is all in line with the dynamic of being rhythmic. All instruments match all rhythms, so once you're in tune with rhythm you will be able to do anything. You will never be off beat nomether what it is. You can hold, jump, crawl, roll and it will always be on the music. Ones you have rhythm you will be able to be as free and as creative as possible. Because you are intune' In slide 3 you can see Hurrikane beautifully showcase how staying in the pocket and letting that groove breath can open the arms, shoulders chest and hips to natural grooves in tune with the rhythm of the music. In my case, i was a leg orientated as most rhythm variations can be seen in my steps and taps. Could have done a better job in taking my time with just flirting with the rhythm withing the full body.
