Something's happening to Tavros, and I think it's Dream Vriska stepping in, forcing him to revive her the way she wants.
We know she was conscious on Prospit while this was happening, and the effective range of her powers is enormous.
This is admittedly an extremely metal thing to do - but Vriska is lucky Tavros hasn't already fainted from the stress. We are way out of his comfort zone here, and it's only going to get worse.
