- At first, he would be extremely suspicious and withdrawn. Your unrelenting sweetness would feel suspicious to him, like a tricks or something that will inevitably hurt him later. He might respond with sharp sarcasm or outright cold silence, avoiding eye contact and keeping physical distance.

"What do you want? Nobody's this nice for free."

- Over time, though, if you never push, never demand anything back, and just keep being quietly gentle, the walls start cracking. He would never admit it out loud, but your soft affection becomes one of the only things that actually calms the constant noise in his head.

- He starts tolerating your hugs, leaning into them almost unconsciously. He might grumble "You're too soft... it's annoying" while literally not letting go of your hand.

- In private moments he becomes surprisingly protective and quietly devoted — the type to fix your scarf in freezing weather without a word, or leave small practical gifts (like warm socks or painkillers when you're on your period) because "you'd just cry otherwise."

- The scary part? Your softness makes him feel safe enough to drop the cheerful mask sometimes, showing the colder, more controlling side, but he never directs it at you. Instead he becomes overprotective to an unhealthy degree. Checking your location, "accidentally" breaking things that belong to your male friends.

- He melts completely for cuddles and praise, though, turning into a giant clingy puppy. In his mind you're the only good thing in his world, so he'll do anything, including very violent "anything" to keep your gentle love directed only at him.

- He would be quietly stunned and not know how to handle it at all. Your sweetness would feel almost painful to him because he's so unused to genuine warmth without strings attached. At first he'd be blunt and dismissive, short sentences, avoiding you or staring off into the distance like he can't process it.

Allies

America

Allen would in all honesty just have a lot of fun with a more chaotic/snippy borrower. He thinks it’s cute! He’s already far too playful as is but now that he knows that the person he’s messing with will give him a bigger reaction only fuels him to keep going. He does not take any yelling, cussing, fussing, or insults seriously, so it's rare that he’ll be upset by any outbursts you may have. Usually he’ll respond with annoying nicknames and sarcastic cooing, chuckling as you point a tiny finger up at him.

China

Xao, like America, won’t really take you seriously. He’s heard it all, the only difference is that it’s coming from a cuter, smaller source. He’ll egg you on, usually saying something like “oh yeah, tell me more” or “that’s interesting”. Xao has a bad tendency to watch you yell at him with his chin in his hand, all with a huge smile on his face.

Canada

Matt doesn’t mind that his tiny companion gets heated. At first it might put him off a little. He’s an intimidating looking guy and to have such a little thing be so bold is jarring to him. He won’t poke the bear as much as America will, though that doesn’t mean he’s totally opposed to messing with you from time to time. You’ll see the slightest smirk as he listens to you cuss at him. He’s more like his brother than he like to admit.

England

Oliver can handle a little bit of heat from you. Like China he’ll watch with amusement as you huff and puff at him, often telling you that you’d look much cuter with a smile on your face. Oliver does have limits however, he doesn’t tolerate profanity and will only give you a warning or two before he gets scary. Oliver is also a bit thinned skinned; he can dish it but he has a hard time taking it. You’ll be scolded quite a bit. Try not to push it too far.

France

Francois finds the constant noise grating. Francois is rather apathetic and really does not want to deal with a tiny little thing yelling at him or causing a fuss, he gets enough chaos from his fellow nations. Francois is just going to ignore you for the most part and if you get frustrated and continue to try and yell at him he won’t hesitate to lock you in a drawer or a jar. Francois won’t engage much with teasing, though he’s not afraid to snip back at you.

Russia

Viktor does not have any patience for your disrespect. He doesn’t respect you in the first place, he’ll respect you even less if you attempt to yell and insult him. As far as he is concerned, you are small, he is big, he expects your respect and best behavior. Viktor will use a little bit of intimidation to get you to quiet down: dangling you by your leg or the back of your clothes, shaking you, holding you in a tight fist, and if you still don’t behave then get ready to be locked up.

Axis

Germany

Lutz is more than used to getting yelled at, but at least now he’s being yelled at by someone he finds cute and endearing. He won’t make a huge deal of teasing or mocking you like America will, but he will chuckle at your attempts to be demanding and bossy. If you get too loud he’ll just shush you and press you against his chest like a wild cat he’s trying to tame. His feelings aren’t hurt easily so feel free to let it out, even if Lutz teases you while you’re doing it.

Prussia

Kind of like Canada he’s a bit put off by your feisty demeanor. He doesn’t really get it. Gillian is one of the more gentle 2ps and to be on the receiving end of your snippiness and ornery attitude is strange to him. He will continue to be just as gentle as always and can occasionally find light humor in it, but you’ll be scolded more often than not.

Romano

Flavio will find it amusing, at least for a while. He is quite snippy himself and while he doesn’t like too much push back, he’ll humor you for a while. How could he not? You’re a harmless little thing and your insults don’t hit the same way they would if they came from someone his size. He’ll tease and poke, finding your little protests cute. The only thing is, like Oliver, can dish it better than he can take it, and while he doesn’t take you too seriously he will get annoyed if you prattle on for too long.

Italy

It’s really just not a good idea to argue with Luciano. If you can somehow hold your ground then good for you, though it would really be in your best interest to settle down. Luciano with be confused at first. Why was this little rat yelling at him of all people? He’ll find it amusing at first, but this doesnt last very long. Like his brother he doesn’t appreciate push back, especially by someone he considers to be weaker than him. Like Russia he is going to resort to intimidation and threats to get you to fall in line.

Japan

Kuro doesn’t find your attitude to be cute. At all. He really does not want to deal with such a bothersome little thing and will not let you get very far in yelling at him. Kuro will simply pluck you up and toss you out of whatever room he’s in before telling you to think about who you’re talking to so disrespectfully.

Nordics:

Norway

Loki is gonna have an absolute blast with a snippy borrower. Like Germany and America he finds your attitude to to be adorable and completely harmless, making your attempts to insult him hilarious to him. He’s the worst offender in egging you on and pissing you off further. Loki will laugh off any snippy comments, returning them with heavy mocking and sarcasm, he'll wave off your demands, and witll toss you around if you get too hot.

Iceland

Egil doesn’t mind your orneriness at all! It’s partially due to his affection towards you and your size and partially because he doesn’t really pick up on how disrespectful it is. He sees you like a little barking puppy or a chattering toy, so all insults, demands, and snippy attitudes bounce right off of him. If you really push too far it’ll click, but even then you just get scolded that that’s as far as he’ll go.

Sweden

Bernard finds your attitude to be amusing. It’s so endearing to him, and teases you for being brave enough to try and be mean to such a massive guy like him. He’ll coo at you, pat your head, and overall will brush your harsh words off. However, like others in this spot he does have limits, albeit a bit more lenient. If you push too far he’ll put you in “time out”, aka, a cage.

Denmark

Markell, like Prussia, doesn't get your attitude. He’s no saint, and he’s has his own attitude problems, but to him a little thing like you shouldn’t be so aggressive. Markell will give you a couple of stern warnings, giving you a chance to cool it. If not you’re getting booted out of the room he’s in. Please stop giving him a headache.

Finland
