I'm not sure a lot of people know about this or maybe forgot, but on December 25th, 2020 a man who believed in reptilian overlords and conspiracy theories blew up 2nd Avenue in Nashville, TN.

Luckily, the only person killed was the bomber himself. He filled an RV with explosives, warned people to leave the area on a loud speaker, and played Petula Clark's 'Downtown' as loudly as possible.
The bomber's girlfriend warned police in 2019 that he was manufacturing explosives, but her warnings were not taken seriously.
This is now what I think about every Christmas season; how we are all one bad day away from an extremist taking us out.
