Day 15 - MC Hammer Stanley Kirk Burrell, born March 30, 1962, known professionally as MC Hammer, is a Black / African American rapper, dancer, record producer and entrepreneur. @mchammer brought rap music to a mainstream audience with his album 'Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em,' still one the biggest-selling rap album of all time. MC Hammer is one, if not, the most influential artists in the 90s. From the parachute pants, shades, open shirts, and gold chains to the parts in his hightop fade and ducktail. Hammer was something that shifted the culture! A rapper with energy in his rhymes and dancing that came in a time when “gangsta” rap was at its peak! If you were born in the mid 80s, you were doing the hammer dance (especially for your parents friends in the night). Hammer’s impact has influenced: @thesimpsons , The Humpty Dance, @sesamestreet “MC Elmo”, dozens of rappers, and video games so much more!
