Day 13 of 24 Day Challenge
I just wanted to check in with everyone with a little update and some positivity in the event anyone also has hypothyroidism and feels frustrated all the time with gaining, bloating and exhaustion. I have spent three years looking for the right endocrinologist meanwhile packing weight on, losing my hair, losing my muscle mass, and also at times my mind :)
That being said, losing weight was actually impossible, and after months of Thyroid medication, monthly blood tests and still gaining all the while, I stumbled upon Advocare last year. I had done a 24 day challenge and lost 9 lbs and several inches off my entire body. I was ecstatic and felt amazing for the first time in ages. I was finally alert, my bloating was dissipating, I no longer required a daily “nap” where I couldn’t keep my eyes open - and if allowed to do so I could’ve slept for 4 hrs and then gone back to bed a little later. My hair was no longer brittle and falling out in actual clumps. My nails stopped splitting, and my dark circles around my eyes were clearing up.
I enjoyed my new lighter weight and old clothes for a short time, but never maintained my new Lifestyle and stopped taking the magical vitamins (MNS) I then went right back to exhausted, bloated, indigestion, and hypothyroidism to the fullest extent. I’m so disappointed I didn’t stick with it then because I allowed a year of time to pass to gain MORE weight & Feel WORSE than I ever have. Hypothyroidism is no joke, it’s life ruining honestly. Anyway…… I got back on board and here’s what’s happening
Today is day 13 of my 24 day challenge. I’m only down 2 pounds (this is huge for someone who can’t lose an ounce EVER and chronically gains even when eating right) so I’m psyched with 2 lbs gone. What’s better?! I’ve lost INCHES everywhere, my stomach is going down, and I feel INCREDIBLE. This is the way of life for me. I’m not a doctor and I have no idea why this combination of vitamins helps my metabolism work again, but I love it, I love how I feel, and I know I will only lose more over time. Slow and steady is fine with me as long as I’m not gaining anymore.
So to all you women who can’t seem to find a plan to work for you with hypothyroidism, think of it this way (my personal experience) : you can spend a $45 copay for the doctor every month, a $45 copay for your medication, have monthly early morning blood work, never get better, never get thinner & never get healthy
OR you can give this a shot. Yes the first round is pricey for the entire system to get started but pretend it’s the copay you keep spending to have zero results and at least this way in a month you have something to show for it and actually feel fantastic by using VITAMINS. Simply feeding your body the vital nutrients it needs to work properly - it’s a no brainier for me, I’m hooked.
